SL Epoxy Coating

MASTERPAV EC17 Self-Levelling Epoxy is a pigmented two component solvent free epoxy coating with low viscosity. It is to be used on prepared and primed concrete for medium to heavy duty application that provides a high gloss, seamless, hygienic surface and durable. Strictly for indoor use only.

  • INSTRUCTION FOR USE

    1. 2.5 kg/m2 MASTERPAV EC 17
    2. 0.3 kg/m2 MASTERPAV EC 10
    3. Prepared Concrete Substrate

    SURFACE PREPARATION

    ·   The concrete surface to receive the MASTERPAV EC17 SL Epoxy Coating shall be subjected to mechanical grinding to achieve a concrete surface profile (CSP) 1 – 3 as recommended by ICRI.

    ·      It is recommended to conduct concrete moisture test before application of MASTERPAV EC17 SL Epoxy Coating. Concrete substrate shall have moisture content of maximum 4%. For concrete substrate with moisture content higher than 4%, a moisture barrier is recommended.

    ·      All cracks are to be rectify before actual application.


    PRIMER

    ·      Pour the entire content of Part B into Part A of MASTERPAV EC10.

    ·      Mechanically mix the mixture using low power mixer until homogeneous.

    ·      Apply the mixed material using suitable roller and allow it to dry overnight. 



    TOPCOAT

    ·   The previously applied primer should be cured, dry to the touch, and no longer tacky.

    ·   Light sanding the surface (promotes good bond between coats), follows by vacuuming.

    ·      Wipe clean the dust using a microfiber wipe with a suitable solvent (eg: MASTERPAV Thinner 101)

    ·      Pour the entire content of Part B into Part A of MASTERPAV EC17.

    ·      Mechanically mix the mixture using low power mixer until homogeneous.

    ·   Spread the mixed material evenly over the entire area at recommended coverage using suitable tools (eg: notched squeegee).

    ·   Let the coating to dry for 12 hours.
